We are currently seeking an experienced clinical research associate to
help in selecting investigators for pharmaceutical drug trials in
British Columbia and Alberta.
The incumbent will monitor patient participation rates and recruit
patients to maintain a sufficient number of participants for the drug
trials. You will develop all documents required for ICH and GCP
compliance to ensure uniform and accurate collection and verification of
data from the drug trial sites. You will monitor treatments by
conducting ongoing face-to-face visits with health care professionals,
patients and colleagues in a variety of health care delivery settings.
You will identify variations from standard operating procedures by
monitoring the ongoing administration of drug therapies and you will
make recommendations regarding the continuation or termination of each site.
Your ability to accurately and completely identify and report all
activities related to dosing, administration of the drugs and patient
compliance is key to your success. Your responsibilities include
maintaining and sourcing drug supplies to ensure continuity of the drug
trials.
Experience/Educational requirements include two years in a
pharmaceutical or clinical research firm plus a University degree in the
Life Sciences or a Registered Nurse or a Pharmacist.
This is a home- based position with about 50% local travel. Excellent
communication skills are required, Bilingualism is recommended but not
required. Ideally your home base is Western Canada in the Vancouver -
Calgary corridor. Opportunities for permanent positions are
high with this firm although initially you will be hired on an annual
renewable contract basis. Salary is to $60K...commensurate with experience.
