Software QA Lead - Google/Android Platform, Applications

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:

• Minimum of 8 years experience as a QA engineer (with 3+ Years as QA
test lead). • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or
equivalent. • Familiar with the software development lifecycle. •
Coordinate test-related work in between team at different location. •
Coordinate with Development to resolve issues, report clear defects,
and produce metrics for defects and test results. • Develop, maintain,
and run Java API tests, identify, verify, report, and regress bugs;
perform integration, system, and regression tests at a white box
level.

• Work closely with Development to understand features and provide
deep information to developers to resolve issues quickly. • Creation
of test plans and scripts for functional, regression and integration
testing; execution of scripts and logging of results • Compose
comprehensive and specific test cases scenarios. • Feedback on test
strategy and automation test harness. • Provide technical leadership
through testing cycle. • Coordinate deployment plans with production
support group and build client/server and system test team. • Improve
test process and test coverage. • Provide training to new hire QA. •
Able to handle multiple projects delivery if needed.

Knowledge Skills: SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Strong experience with embedded systems products in consumer
markets, i.e. handheld device, mobile phones, etc. • Solid
understanding of metrics-based QA management and software methodology.
• Good project planning and project management skills. • Good people
management skills, with demonstrated track record in building and
motivating teams. • Strong leadership, communication skills, and
demonstrated success in working cross-functionally in a multi-
disciplinary development organization. • Solid communication skills. •
Working knowledge of Version Control, Defect Tracking, and Build
tools. • Knowledge of Linux and Java a plus.
